Its official: my baby is three years old. After being too excited to fall asleep the night before, he awoke to what I think was a wonderful day. Breakfast on the Happy Birthday plate, fun with friends at the park, helping to make and decorate his cake, talking with all kinds of relatives on the phone and then dinner at a surprise super cool restaurant (as we pulled in he said "look! Airplanes!") then back home for presents and cake.
Somewhere in there I manged to start what I hope will be a tradition, inspired by a friend of mine who is doing the same - interviewing the birthday boy. I took the idea and the questions from her but they're floating around cyberspace as well.
I was a bit skeptical that this would work. I figured he'd blow me off by giving nonsense answers or just running around yelling. And there was a bit of that, as you'll see. But I was really struck by some of his answers as well.
So without further ado...an interview with a Three Year Old.

My own mother used to drag me there for hours and when I got older I finally wised up and made her calculate how long we spent there and then pay me back by spending that long in the store of my choice. How does A even know about the sewing place? Oh wait...Grandma.)
Is there anything else you want to say that I can write here? Um…I don’t have any things.
I'm glad it worked for you-I was inspired by the same friend to do it w/ my own A but she ran around and gave silly, ridiculous answers. :( maybe next year!
This is quite a book - I picked it up and barely put it down before I finished it. Only three days after getting it, I'm already well into the sequel. Its Lowry's "the Giver" meets O.S.C's "Ender's Game" meets short st...
What a fantastic book! Author Kevin Roose is a sophomore at Brown University who realizes that he doesn't know much about how his evangelical peers live or believe. He heads to Liberty University, undercover, as a transfer student for one ...
This was a fantastic book, much better than I expected. It constantly challenged my mind as I would think to myself "this is happening in South Africa" and I'd have to say "no, in my own country." "Ok then," ...
This is one of the best novels I have read in a very, very long time, but it destroyed me. Extremely well done, but very, very personal and devastating.
